How to take care of cotton?

Cotton is a natural fiber harvested from the cotton plant (fruits), known for its soft touch and breathable quality. Light, durable and hypoallergenic, it absorbs moisture and feels gentle on the skin, making it a go-to fabric for everyday comfort.

How to care for your cotton item?

Easy to care for and long-lasting, cotton is one of the most popular natural fibers.With some extra attention, you’ll be able to enjoy your cotton garments for years and years. Even if cotton is resilient, we recommend using a mild detergent when washing, and avoiding the use of a tumble dryer.

When you need to wash your cotton item, please do as follows:

Machine wash gently, ideally at 30°C or a cold wash setting.
Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach to preserve colors and textures.
Wash your cotton garments inside out to protect the outer surface.
Do not overstuff your washing machine.

How to dry a cotton item?

Air-drying is the best option to prevent shrinkage and maintain shape. Avoid direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Machine drying is an option too (though not recommended), please use a low or moderate heat setting in this case. High heat can cause shrinkage and damage.

How to iron your cotton item?

Iron the item inside out to protect the outer surface.
Use a low to medium heat setting.
Ironing while the cotton fabric is damp can help remove wrinkles more effectively.
If the cotton’s too dry to iron efficiently, you can lightly spray some water on it.

How to store your cotton item?

Fold or hang your cotton items in a cool and dry closet, away from direct sunlight.

How to deal with stains on cotton?

To effectively treat stains on cotton, act quickly.

Start by blotting the stain with a clean cloth to remove excess debris.
Avoid rubbing as this can spread the stain.
For most stains, you can try using a stain remover, dish soap or laundry detergent on the stain, before washing as usual.
